We were able to accomplish yet another milestone for Needy Readers by donating books the newly opened Prison at Angunakolapelassa. At present the prison is home for more than 600 prisoners. The library at the prison didn't have enough books to fulfil the needs of inmates and most of the books available were worn out. We donated more than 500 books including Novels, Translations and Religious books which could help the prisoner to turn their lives around. Apart from the book donation we had a tree planting campaign with the prisoners to plant 25 Mango trees at the Prison premises contributing to one of the Sustainable Development Goals.
