DisasterReliefLKA, initiated by IMCD in partnership with community service organizations, actively responds to disasters in Sri Lanka, providing essential support such as food and water to affected families. During COVID-19, IMCD supported daily wage earners like Gem miners in Ratnapura by providing essential dry food items. Key efforts include aiding Koslanda landslide victims, flood relief in 2017, and supporting families displaced by the Meethotamulla garbage dump collapse. With contributions from community partners, IMCD has impacted over 10,000 individuals, continuously supporting disaster-affected communities.
