Upul Senanayake is a seasoned professional with a strong educational background and extensive experience in business consultancy and training. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance (2020) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) Special Degree (2010) from the Faculty of Management & Finance, University of Colombo. His academic credentials are further bolstered by a Certificate in Capital Markets from the Security Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (2012), a Certificate in Accounting & Business from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (2007), and a Diploma in IT from the University of Colombo School of Computing (2011). By profession, Upul is a freelance business consultant and trainer, specializing in developing business proposals, conducting feasibility analyses, performing business valuations, and carrying out SME sector studies and surveys. He is also a dedicated trainer for small and medium enterprises in Sri Lanka, covering topics such as business model development, financial management, and institutional strengthening. In 2012, Upul laid the foundation for IMCD by bringing together a group of passionate young individuals to initiate the dialogue for establishing a community services organization in Sri Lanka. This collaboration led to the formation of the esteemed organization, IMCD. As the founding president of IMCD (2012-2018), Upul has driven the organization to achieve significant milestones. Currently, he serves as a director of IMCD, continuing to contribute to its growth and success.
